user Indira Gandhi Open University, or IGNOU is India’s top and world’s largest open university. It was established in 1985. The HRD Ministry runs this university. Is IGNOU perfect for distance learning?
IGNOU is the one university that breaks all the myths regarding quality education. The Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Canada, has awarded it several times. Both NCTE and AICTE approve the university. The Indian government formed the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the National Council for Teacher Education Act in 1995. The main motive of NCTE is to investigate the teaching quality of different institutions in the education system of India. On the other hand, the AICTE, or All India Council for Technical Education, looks mainly at technical education’s national quality.
